Anyone know of some rain gear that will roll up small enough to fit under the GS' seat? I'm looking for a suit or jacket + pants for keeping under there when I'm not expecting rain. My mesh pants have a waterproof liner but I don't see myself pulling over, taking my pants off and zipping in a liner in the pouring rain...

You will not find anything that will fit under the seat. The seat barely has room for the toolkit. I could barely fit a baseball cap under there when I had mine. You're best off having a tail bag, backpack, tank bag, or other form of luggage to store the rain gear in. Check the weather, if it looks like rain then bring your gear.

i can fit a pair of waterproof/windproof trousers under my seat

granted they are just thing trousers like bin bags kinda stuff, but they do the job over the top of jeans or something similar

Not exactly sure how small these will get or if you'll be able to get 'em under the seat... But...

You can probably find the same thing for cheaper...  It's just a plastic rain-slicker.

And...  You can get some rain gear that will last MUCH longer for not much more money...  But, It won't roll up quite as small.

I bought a $40-$50 PVC rain suit from Walmart.  It was tight fitting and slid over top of my gear perfectly.  It DOES NOT breathe, so I wouldn't recommend it for any temps over about 70-75*F.  Kept me dry in a downpour of biblical proportions at 75 mph, but there's no way it would fit under the GS seat.  Get a nice tail pack or some soft sided luggage. :thumb:

+1 on Alpha's post, seat compartment is way too small for a rain suit to fit in. :(
you may try to fit just a pair of rain trousers under there, but I suppose there'd be very little or no more room for everything else(documents?sunglasses?tyre repair bottle?...)(never tried, though).
But...a suggestion:
do you use a motorcycle jacket, don't you? :thumb:
I recently found out that some jackets are provided with a large inner back pocket, which is specific for objects like rain pants. Why not? :thumb:

Ok well I've been meaning to pick up a tail bag anyway :)

I was hoping there was some kind of super slick folds tiny rain jacket somewhere... I like my perforated leather but I'm jealous of the textile ones where you don't have to worry about a rain jacket...

i fit my rain suit under my seat. Granted I wear a medium but both the jacket and pants fit.  They are from a motorcycle store that had them on sale. You slip them over your other gear. I got caught in a rain storm, pulled over under an overpass bridge slipped my pants and jacket on and off I went. So, it can be done, but not if you wear anything over a medium size.
