This may or not be appropriate, but I thought it was funny and I would share.

I was having a converation with a younger rider today and we agreed in the fact that we enjoyed the exhiliration of the ride and the feeling of relaxation and satisfaction afterwards.  I then stated it was a lot like sex.  From there, the conversation went south.  We were rolling while coming up with similarities.  These are the ones I remember

1) When you first start "riding" you are somewhat nervous before you begin and wonder if you're doing things right
2) At first you stick to the basics and are tentative about trying new "wilder" moves
3) The more experience you have, the more willing and able you are to trying new and different moves.
4) Some riders may even get bored with the basics and only enjoy the "wilder" times
5) Young riders may be able to ride more often, but experienced riders can ride longer and better
6) Some have many bikes in their stable and ride the one they feel like
7) Some riders have their own bike but can't resist the opportunity to ride another newer prettier bike
8) Some riders would never think of riding anything but their tried and true older bike
9) It is always better to ride with protection, while it feels better to ride without it
10) After a ride, sometimes we can only think about when our next ride will be.

I could go on.  It was a truly hysterical conversation

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??
