Depending on where you're cutting it, but pipe cutters work great in the straight area in the middle.
Cool.

Pipe cutters are the shaZam! as long as you aren't trying to cut through a weld, as Srinath stated.  It will leave you with a even straight cut in a pretty short time.

That was with no exhaust at all... maybe it'll sound better with the headers on and the can cut off?

No. It will sound loud and crappy, and run just as bad.

You fail.

so, yeah there's a big difference in the size of the pipes almost 1/2". I went to advanced auto and got an adapter, but didn't get the right size. unfortunately I'm gonna have to get it welded. Was hoping not to have to but there's too much of a leak.   SUCKS

Sawzall cuts like butter

i second that
I just cut off a carbon can from a F-3 this afternoon took longer to get the sawzall out of the box and plugged in than to cut the pipe

Also
any muffler shop will(should) do it for about 20 bucks...will take them all of....5 min

want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop

heatherg11

i used a hacksaw....my arms are tired now- made 2 cuts to make sure I didn't cut it too short. Still may need to cut another inch off. but i'm gonna take it to a shop tomorrow and let them cut and weld it.

No.A mid pipe is usually a removable section between the header and the muffler.
Most mid pipes are found on cars.An adapter connects 2 different size exhaust tubes. ;)
