and i'm thinking GS500 again!

still have a few shims left, along with one of Kerry's Valve tools that one of the members fabed up.

going to need to buy a street bike helmet again, but in the mean time i'm thinking i might just ride along with one the my motocross helmets.

i'll keep you all posted, and i'm thinking in another week or so i'll be able to post some photos!

See folks?

Once a GS'er always a GS'er.

Welcome (maybe) back.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

i'm going to look at 2 over the weekend and if i buy either, it will make 5th gs that i will have owned.

when i first started riding on the street, several people made remarks of how slow my bike was, but i didnt care, it's a heck of a lot of fun!

i sold my 919 last september because i wanted to go back to dirt. *trees and hay bales wont pull in front of me!*

dude!!!!   I so  would have traded you my GS for your 919

ohgood

I'm wondering what your impression of the 919 is. I'm sold on the looks of course, and the power would be nice, mostly I'm looking at the fuel injection and a little more comfort for the two up riding. Then there's the Honda Tax (TM).

I love my gs (when it doesn't have fueling problems) but if a 919 came 'long for a good price, or even a not so decent price, I'd jump.

Thanks for your opinion, and welcome back - again.

the 919 was a great choice for me at the time, and a huge leap in power/ torque over the little G. felt a little taller and top heavy compared to the gs, but the fuel injection is what sold me on it.

i swapped out the stock bars for a set of Pro Taper CR high bend *same as i run on my dirt bike* and was at home.

if there is one thing i would change about the 919... stiffer springs! i had an 02 which had NO adjusting options on the forks. the newer models look like they would be a better choice just because of the forks.

Thanks for your first hand take on the 919. I'm leaning towards 919, vstrom, FZ1 or Bandit600 for my next or 2nd bike. :)

well... the gs wasnt as good as it appeared to be in the photos, so i opted out.

i am back on the street though!

i've taken a plunge in purchasing a new bike off the show room floor. it's not a GS, but something of a smaller cc. i know a baby G can out run it, but i am much more comfortable on it than any other street i've ever ridden!

Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You have been assimilated! WELCOME TO THE ORDER OF RETARDS!!!!

You'd be surprised, the SM can out pull the GS up to about 60, I'd assume, but after that GS would take it due to aerodynamics and the extra power. Fist thing you should do is replace the front fender with an Acerbis Supermoto fender. It'll cut down on the high speed head shake and make it look more like a REAL supermoto.

Super retarded!
