Rebuilding a motor

OK I have the frame ready to run to the powdershop. The motor has very low miles 10K to be exact. I am toying with the idea of taking off the head, replacing the valves with Kibblewhite's black diamond and honing the cyls and fitting a set of new file to fit type rings or total seal ones and new gaskets and its back together.
The idea is not really power, but more like somehting that doesn't use oil and somehting that doesn't have valves going tight all the time or loose (ok that is cam shaft, and maybe I'll swap those for some mild performance ones.
I know people have done the high power stuff, but has anyone done the low powered stuff ???
Also Kibblewhite sells 1mm over sized valves. Do I need to make mods to use those ... and if so what mods ???
Cool.

so...
you want to install 1-st OS rings on stock pistons
and go up one mm on the valves.
i'd have the cylinders checked for out of round....if they are within spec....sounds like mild gains will be got....1 or so

go for it

clean any big casting flaws before you get the valve job done
could match the intake and exhaust ports also
but I know you won't

side note.... you coming to t-day this year....????
let your wife know NOW!!!!!
want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop

I may be in another state for T day ... Same as last year, the damn problem is I cannot get the right this and that to get the hell out of here. Then again I might move to forsyth county ...  O0 ...  So OK I'll ask my wife.
But on all the rest ... yup ...
I am doing a file to fit out of generic rings I believe, not neccesarily suzuki 1/2 mm over.
Now I heard you're not supposed to do 1/2 mm larger on stock bore, only 1/4 mm max. Is that true.
Yea, every thing will be cleaned up intake and exhaust ports etc.
Going 1 mm up on valves, what do we have to do to the seats or ports ... will it do any good without opening those up and if so is it easy to do that.
Yea bore true ness and head decking and what ever is all going to be done, pity is, I should have done it to my 48K mile motor, instead I hocked it for lunch money and am doing it to a 10K miler which will prolly run 50K as it sits.
Gains are secondary. I want to have a motor that doesnlt use oil, doesn't need valve adjustments every 3K (but fact is, mine were wearing at the cams and going loose, so this will do nothing for that) anyway, a motor that doesn't wear is my goal and runs cool and has decent power. Stock that breathes better should run cooler and help wear slower I think.
Cool.
