Yup, that's right I got me a new 'un today!  Yee-haw!!!  :icon_mrgreen: I bought a 2002 Bandit 1200S.  It has a full Yosh pipe and jet kit w/ K&N.  It is much faster than my GS, but the best news is that since my GS costs virtually nothing to keep (legal), I'm keepin' it.  I'm kinda short in the inseam, and the Bandit is kinda tall in the saddle, so I got the guy at the shop to lower it by 2" for me.  I should be able to pick it up Friday.  I'll try to post pics when I get it home.

:cheers:To me!

I'm really damn happy I kept my GS...  It only costs me licensing to keep it...   :thumb:  Not even insurance.  :icon_mrgreen:

Congratulations on the new scoot!

I've been tempted by several cheap Bandit 1200s over the last few years (all were in great shape and were selling for $500-$800 more than what my GS cost), but I stuck with the 500 because I know the bike (and this site) still has things to teach me. Good luck, oppy.

Psst!, RV...how do those SV mirrors compare to the stockers?
gs500 K2 (blue/silver) + Pirelli Sport Demon tires, Pro 6 stainless brake lines (front/rear), Racetech .85 kg/mm fork springs, 15w Motul fork oil, Kat 600 rear shock, K+N drop in air filter, Kisan PathBlazer/Tailblazer modulators, Oxford heated grips and a Givi A240 flyscreen.

MUCH better IMO...  Easier to adjust...  Better field of view (the 2nd gen ones anyway)...  Vibrate less...  Look better...

I don't know about the round ones though (1st gen... Mickey Mouse Ears).
