parallels is great. Pricey, but it removes the whole can't run windows only apps problem. The next version is supposed to support full 3D as well so you could even play those latest and greatest PC games I mostly use it on my mac to test websites under IE, nice to be able to create a bunch of virtual machines with various browser versions installed.

Linux is starting to kick some serious butt ... Yeah, 3d effects, good apps, i'm too easily amused. May be good with AMD, but sucks with their ATI Graphic cards...

3d acceleration in Linux still has quite a bit to mature.  I've never had a stable system with 3d acceleration.  it always seems to crash X-windows.
