...watched my very sweet 1990 GS500 ride off with a new owner on her back the other day.  If  I could ride two bikes at the same time, I'd have kept the GS too.  Now I'll be like John, "seeing" (more like hallucinating) the bike around every corner....wondering if someday I'll be able to buy it back.  Still no regrets with the SV, though....that bike is double sweet...

it's a '99...bone stock, a total clean slate for me to have my wicked way with...  got a new FSD undertail, (gotta elimintate that fender dontcha know.. )planning a high-mount exhaust--either a Devil or a Holeshot--SM type II bars, Targa seat cowl, shortened front signals, rejetting, and maybe a small wind screen.  I can't just leave well enough alone.  There's too much aftermarket stuff for this Bike!!

You might look into an '02 as those have adjustable front dampening.  Good hunting!
