Fair enough question,

1) my street bike does double duty as my track bike, insurance will not pay for anything that happens at the track.

2) I don't heal as fast as I used too.

3) I'm pretty damned slow so don't usually get that far over.

4) I have only brushed the ground a few times I don't get my knee that far out it's just a curb feeler to tell me I'm getting to close to dragging the pegs and I need to back off, I am really not all that fast and use hang off more than lean angle. One of the faster guys at this track ran his personal best at 1:23:45 or on street tires and never touches either. Track record was set at the CMRA races a few weeks back at a 1:16 ish number.

I see lots of guys go out and get knee in every turn on the track just to grind down pucks, it looks cool but it doesn't make you fast. You can put a knee down at 35mph.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Just a heads up.. most insurance companies WILL cover track days, as long as they are listed as instructional events, not timed race events.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Try it :thumb:

State Farm said that once too. One of our local riders works for them and many of us here in town use the same agent beacuase she offers the best srvice and SF has the best rates around.
Years ago many were told this very thing. The first person to file a claim was denied and SF's entire policy exclusion section was rewritten to exclude any non public roadway usage.

Our track days here are listed as advanced rider training programs it doesnt make a difference, one guy did a ridesmart school and it wasn't covered either when he went down and he paid out the wazoo for progressive insurance. Your agent can tell you one thing by try to claim it and it won't happen.
