I know...GS's make a few noises as they run. But, I have one that I'm just not sure of.  :dunno_white:

Anyway, I'll do my best to describe it...

The Noise is from the top of the engine, near the front.
It's kind of a slight high pitched "squeaky" sound...close to the sound that crickets make.
It's frequency increases as revs go up. If you rev high enough (4k+), it either stops or is drowned out by other engine noises.
It only occurs when the engine is warm.
The engine seems to be fine power wise.
The oil is clean and at the full mark.
The Bike is a 2006 with about 10k miles.

As I am the second owner, I am not sure if the bike ever had a valve adjustment. But, it doesn't really sound like something that I would normally associate with the valves.

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.   :thumb:

PS: I'll try and get a sound file, if I can find someplace to host it.

I do not know how the new bikes are made.My 89GS was making a high pitch taping and increased with engine speed.I just happened to put my ear near it and saw the tacometer cable nut had come loose.Mine is on the front right on the head.Hope this helps.
