 I was right, dealer said it was impossible, but I was right thanks to the GS family on this board :thumb:
For those who dont know, I have a new 07 500F, under 800 in 2 weeks, thats  had an oil leak the dealer said was impossible.
Heres the verdict, It was the base gasket, but also a blown head gasket. All parts on order and will be ready in about a week. Fully under warranty. Dealer is doing the 600 mile service free now, im only paying for my 15 tooth sprocket to be put on whilew there.
Again thanks to you all, you people rock!!!!!!!!

Rooster, I read all of your other threads on this problem.  Yesterday I noticed a few drops of oil where I park my bike in the garage.  It's an '06 with <1,500 miles on it.  I am going to try and clean it all up and find where the oil is coming from before I take it to the dealer.  Just curious if you had to remove the fairing to clean everything really well to find the leak.

when my head gasket blew, only 200 miles, i took the fairing off to have a look and the cooling fins on the cylinder had oil drops on it-might want to look for that. also my left shoe was soaking in an oil bath haha.

Thats funny, I got a new 06 over the past winter and it was leaking oil from brand new.  It was at the dealership with about 150 miles on it and they replaced the head gasket.

with this many 06/07 with leaking head gaskets makes me wonder why they tried so hard to blame me, saying i revved it to far and blew it  :2guns:.

The main oil leak was from a oring on the right side oil passage/headbolt. it wasnt there. The head gasket was blown also. But do to faulty assembly, according to the service manager. If your in Western NC or near Hendersonville NC, go to Dal-Kawa cycle in Hendersonville. Ralph for sales, and Warren for service. Honest, upfront and reliable. :thumb:
