Hello Everyone,
I just purchased my 2006 GS a few weeks ago.  I have already put over 800 miles on my bike, and can not wait to put on more.  I love my bike as it is now.   I have already ditched the douchie reflectors and performed the fenderectomy.  I would like to do a few of the cheaper mods first, as I have yet to even pay a single payment...LOL  I guess my questions is what if any should be the first mods I should look into.  I am saving the larger ones until after this riding season, I would rather ride than wrench on it for now.

A friend of mine has a two under front sprocket for a 2004 GSXR, would this gear fit my bike.  If it does fit, would it give it the torqe I am looking for, or woudl I sacrifice to much top end?  Hell. the thing only does 115 right now.  I would like a little more power on both ends.  Just wondered what you guys thought?

Cant wait to get to know everyone,
     Steve

I can not remember what I have now 13t or 14t but I love it. It has an impressive takeoff and I noticed a high top end and got there faster. I did some other work at the same time and I replaced the rear wheel and tire with a wide lower profile, I'm running a 150/6017. Not sure that effected the top speed or not becuase I didn't run it at top speed after the sprocket and before I had the new tire. I do know that it's extremly quicker then it was. At highway speeds I run 7,000.rpm at 70mph, it's a little bussy be it boesn't hurt it any. I do most of my riding in the twisties so the lower gears are better for me, it did take a wial to used to which gear to be in and you shift through the gears faster. the front gears is cheap I had to get 108 tooth chain for proper fitment. I you do not want to go get a new chain now ($75+) get no smaller then a 14t for now and if you still want more get a larger rear at chain time.
I hope this helps.
