my qualification for the 107 in iraq was to shoot fire extinguishers out to 1500 meters.  at bragg we have ranges where we can fire a tow out to nearly 4000 meters.  you forget im on the biggest base around.  i was looking last night at some .50 info while on staff duty.  max effective area target is 1800 meters.  i know i cant hit anyone at 2400 meters bc i tried and the round becomes sporadic after 1600m.  that my be far but i also shaved my tips to improve accuracy.

Yeah bragg has all the good shaZam!   I was giving a qoute for point target not area... 1600m is about a mile.....thats some serious f%$king stop power.  Whatthefuck did you do in Iraq???  We didn't get any practice fire when we were in combat   HAHA staff duty HAHA  thats why i like the guard, we don't do all that BS we just train up and deploy then go back home

Have you shot the Barret? The damn thing weighs 80lbs the muzzle brake is surprisingly effective and with the bipod shooting prone its not much worse than a 12 gauge.

Nice Can I look you up if I ever get to Tennessee? I'll pay for the ammo. I was at a long range event (1000yards) at a gun club several years ago, Another shooter was there with the .50 and all I can say is wowwwwwwwww that was fun to shoot.
