I have to agree with Bubba on this.
My .50 is a hawkens style.

Tack driving ,shoulder thumping primitive shoulder mounted canon.

And lots of fun to shoot.

I'd hate to be in a war with 20 angry guys charging me though.

I'm not having a go at what people want to shoot, it's just that I prefer my muzzle loaders.

Even though the majority of my guns are muzzle loaders/BP cartridge, my favourite pistol is my Smith & Wesson .357 revolver.  :2guns:

The Sigma is a great first handgun.  Simple enough, functions very well and is quite inexpensive.  I'd jump all over that deal.

Anybody ever try the Taurus guns? Such as the millennium pro? or the model 850? model 85? I know they are pretty light and will have some kick, but if I get a big gun I don't think I would want to carry it around with me, and then what's the point in having it.

Can't speak about the compact pistols, but I have owned two different 945 models (large frame, 45ACP).  They are reliable for recreational target shooting.  I have never really dumped an entire clip to see how they react to the heat.  All I can say is that I have never had a misfire with either of mine.   I now own a compact glock, so i really don't consider my Taurus much more than a weekend toy.

They also come with a lifetime repair policy, which is cool.

good info on there

2:    If you want something small and easy to carry check out Kel-Tec  they make some great compact lightweights.  They don't have a safety but the trigger pull is fairly deliberate.

i really want something with a safety and taurus seemed to be one of the few that uses a manual safety.
