Good digital Camera?

At work we have a Canon S3 IS.  It has a good optical zoom (12x I believe), and the digital zoom actually produces better results than zooming in at 12x and enlarging on the PC.  With just optical zoom, it will zoom into the top of a 1000' foot broadcast tower from over 1000 feet out to produce a picture where you can clearly make out the equipment.

ive got an s3000 fudgy err fuji, although i hope to get a better one soon, but love the thing
