Strictly for Firefly/Serenity fans (am I the only one here?):

One of these young ladies looks a LOT like Summer Glau. In some of the shots it's spooky. Or maybe she was slumming in Silver Spring MD? Or maybe it's just me.

Might be just me. I had an unusual childhood in some respects, and one of the effects I've learned to recognize is that my facial-recognition "software" often works differently than others'.

I only spotted the photos yesterday. I have tried several times to get "in the loop" there, tried to open up a line of communication for possible future negotiations on my next bike, but the salesmen just do NOT do e-mail. They want to talk on the phone, and I seldom bother. I suspect a new bike might be cheaper further out, but I could be wrong... parts are more expensive.

I think the pix of her leaning on the bike are closer. What struck me is that she smiles .. or at least looks happy - that's what is different than River

Summer seems to smile a lot. River doesn't. And she isn't always made up for the red carpet:

... but again, its' probably just me.

I have trouble thinking of her as "hot", probably the age difference, when introduced on Firefly she just seemed like a gawky teen, with very few "adult" signals. She's getting over it, though:

Plus, since I'm 30, she's not that much younger than me. My wife is almost the same amount older so it's all good

I have the same "Facial Recognition Software" installed in my head... I can see the resemblance....

It's pretty funny when my wife and I watch a movie... I can recognize faces and voices, but I can't remember names... She can remember names but doesn't recognize faces and voices as well... So, I say, "Oh... It's that one guy from this movie and that movie..." Then she says, "So-and-so?" "YEAH! That guy!"

Personally, *I* don't think that's so cut-and-dry...

Jewel is capable of looking pretty amazing. Where they tried their best to make Morena look glamorous in the series, they tried to go the other way with Jewel... Joss actually had her gain weight for the role.
