For Sale - 1998 gs500e Houston, TX 12,xxx miles

Hi everyone, I got a new bike so its about time for the gs500 to go.

She wasn't running very well but my friend and I cleaned the carbs and we are putting new plugs in it today as well as doing a valve job.  If it isnt up to par then we will completely take out the carbs and get them cleaned.  The bike is a 98 and definitely is not in perfect condition but for its age its pretty good.   No major damage just a few scratches here and there. I cleaned the bike and it looks pretty nice.  I think I might use some touch up paint to cover up scratches on the frame made by the gastank.  It has been dropped on both sides but only from a stand still.  The bike has engine guards on it so if you do drop it the bike really doesn't suffer any damage.

I have the title and I am getting it in my name ASAP.  Im looking for ~1800 for the bike and it includes a windscreen and saddle bags.  The tires have plenty of tread left on them....they even have the chicken strips still.  Bike runs strong and starts right up.  The battery is just a few weeks old.  My friend and I are also putting on a brand new chain today and a 14t sprocket to give it that extra UMPH that the gs is sometimes lacking.

PM me if you want to come check it out.  You can ride it if you want but please have cash in hand because you know the drill.  The title is clean, but if the buyer wishes to take the bike now, I will take a percentage of the full amount and then take the rest of the money when the title is mailed to me and I sign it over to it's new owner.  Im not desperate to sell immediately but if someone needs a good beginner bike we can work something out.  Im trying to get it 100% before I give it to anyone but that shouldn't take long.   If you want  to take a look at the bike PM me and I will give you my addy/cell
