OT: Jeep doors are GONE!!!

Ok, so they stole my wifes GS-500, I can deal with that. Get it back from the shop and its stolen again less than 2 weeks later. I am very much so losing my patients with these d***less a**holes! Most of the anger and frustration from the bike "gone missing" has now calmed (bike has been gone for about 2 1/2 months now) but now I am on the war path again!

Wife gets up Sunday morning to go to work and drives my Jeep since her bike is MIA. She comes hustling back in the door muttering something about '....doors.....jeep.....gone....'.

Thats right! They stole the f***ing doors off my Jeep!!! Didn't take anything out of the Jeep, didn't take the whole thing, just my full steel doors. I am going to be holding a midnight vigil with a flashlight and a 9mm out in the parking lot if anyone cares to join me.

The real pisser is Geico considers it to be "vandalism" and is refusing to pay one red cent, even with a "full coverage policy". Rat bastards.

Ok, enough venting. TIA for a kind ear on some demented rambling.

Two things in life I can't stand:  Liers and thieves.  I'm in California, and I envy your gun laws vs. ours.

in the long run, it might be time to move somewhere else.....on the other hand....I  hope they catch these people...I once had my truck broken into while it was loaded from evacuating from a Hurricane....woke up in the morning and my door was open, I called the cops, they took a report over the phone and that was it.  :x

Do you have an enemy with sticky fingers or something?  Is there alot of theft going on in that neighborhood or are you being singled out?
I assume you are renting an apartment? Do you have renters insurance? They might cover the doors (tell them they were off the Jeep when stolen or something....)

Moving might be a good idea...

Go get a 3 Iron golf club from "play it again sports" or something for like 10 bucks.  Break off the head so you just have this very light shaft about 4' long, set it right next to your door or keep it with you whilst you wait for them to return.  Might be a good Idea to set some bait too. Like leave your door cracked "on accident" so the dome light is on with a big (empty) box in the passenger seat.  And wait.   A couple good wacks with the Golf Club to the middle back should take care of them.

That seriously sucks.  :x  The sad thing is they probably get $20 when they hock them and you have to pay out the wazoo to replace them.

A friend had his T-Tops stolen and when he went to buy replacements, he found his own, still had his DL# on them. You might look around if there is a serial # on them.

From what I have heard a putter (head on) to the kneecap is remarkably effective. Keeps them local for when the cops arrive. Not that I would recommend hurting anyone.

Aargh! I feel your frustration.
I'd say get a very big scary dog as watchman if you were a homeowner.
However, you mentioned holding a "parking lot vigil" so I take that to mean you are an apartment renter.
I have Geico and can't believe they gave you that kind of reply with full coverage!  
Maybe it's time to switch insurance companies. Or contact the BBB.

Yeah, it was parked in an apartment complex lot. We just moved down here about 6 months ago, so I seriously doubt its somebody we know or managed to make enemies with.

I appreciate the offer Sideshow, but there is ZERO chance of being able to afford doors right now. If somebody mentions that they have a pair of dark green exterior/charcoal interior full hard doors "for sale" (95 YJ)that have a LARGE dent right about where your elbow would be on the drivers side then I would very much like to meet them.    Anybody that has ever wheeled with full doors knows exactly where the dent would be and man oh man does that ever hurt! The drivers side door also does not open from the inside. I also have an older CJ but it was not disturbed in the slightest (fortunately).

been there man i feel your wrath. when i was there goin to mmi, i lived at bell towers 33rd ave&bell rd. while i was there a feller named patrick and another named evan, both vandalised my truck and stole a german WWII medal which belonged to my great grandfather. i insisted they both leave AT GUNPOINT. and warned them not to come around again. your bike, mite check at the school. they have been known to show up there before. phoenix police wont do shaZam!. also check at the salvage yards. i believe 1 in south phoenix. in my truck they got under the hood and cut a bunch of wires. a lot of it has to do with the tweakers around there. al;l i know is if i go back there, (which i am thinking about doin, i will find those who have stolen from me. id better not say anymore. but your stuff will turn up. and i would complain to insurance. cause with your doors off, nothin stoppin them from getting into your jeep again.
