taking MSF this weekend!

i took the class portion yesterday for about 3 hours........BORINGGGGGGG
during the 5 weeks between setting the appointment and the actual class date, i was so excited i read everything we covered in class at home.....

today i finally got to get on a bike! we were using kawa kx100's.....
i CANNOT make u-turns without getting my foot down! i think i am the only one who could not do this! im so frustrated.......i had the most fun when they got us doing ovals....i dont like to stop...esp bc it was like 90 degrees today with 90% humidity.....by the end of the day some people had actually drenched their jeans in sweat! i also have a little problem with stalling.... :x so frustrating.......it really helps to find the friction zone everytime and not get lazy with it.....sometimes i stall during the slow limited space manuevers and that gets me angry too....i really like making those damn ovals though......we actually made it to 3rd gear...i like 3rd gear......

tomorrow i have 4 hours of class and 5 hours of riding......i hope those u-turns (theyre actually more like figure 8's? i can do normal u-turns just fine..) dont make me fail the damn test.....

Don't be afraid to slip that clutch. That's the trick with those slow manuvers. Keep the RPM up and slip the clutch to adjust power. If you don't you'll get stuttering and jerking and it will screw ya all up. I know it did me

yep and use the rear brake while you use the friction zone. And look ahead on all those gotta look over your shoulder to get thru the turn. Our instructor stood where you should be looking so you just looked at him all the time.

don't worry about it they get easier. I just finished  mine on friday and lots of people were touching down their feet the first time they tried.  give it a little time you'll get th hang of it.l

i found the trick to u-turns is to really turn you head and slip your clutch a lot. if it feels like you starting to fall, let the clutch out a little more and the engine will whip you around nicely and keep you upright.
