One ride (wreck) on my GS and she never called me again.......

I have recently read a couple posts which mentioned having a motorcycle accident (minor or major) with female passengers.  How Embarassing, eh?!  It has probably happened to many of us - and now it is time to share our shame for the entertainment of others!  and here we go.....

Finally got a date with a girl I had known for years and always admired.  Very funny, very pretty!  She recently moved back home from Georgia, and was a big moto fan.  I was lucky enough to have her call me and eventually setup a date with me.  :kiss3:  Picked her up on my GS, made sure to clear it with her father first that she ride passenger on a moto.  We had a ghey little picnic by a lake (her idea).  Everything seemed great, lots of fun.

On the way home, leaving the state park, I pulled up to a stop sign, and anticipated an uphill right turn.  I went to put my foot down at the stop sign (like we all should do, evertyime!) and stepped into a big lot of NOTHING - good ol' Pennsylvania Pot Hole surrounded by small gravel - lost my footing, dropped the bike to the right, and the girl... she rolled down a 5ft decline into a muddly gully.

She got up and was OK.  I had barely picked up bike and she attempted to climb right back on - almost dropped the dam thing again b/c I wasn't ready for her body weight to shift it as I lifted it!  We made it home safe; I couldn't help feeling embarassed even though I tried to rationalize that we all drop our bikes at some point..... but why now, I really liked her!

She never called me again..... :cookoo:

:dunno_white: was it the ride, or was it me  :dunno_white:

I've been lucky enough to never go down with a passenger...of course when Kalee's on the bike i ride ultrahyperuberparanoid so things like putting my foot down in a pothole won't happen.  How could you pull up to a pothole large enough to lose yourself in and not realize it's there?

I have, however, while riding solo, done things like forget to tuck my boot laces so they can wrap around my pegs so when i stop somewhere I just fall right over.

on a side note...a chick you really like adn adore...who even jumped right back on the bike after you threw her ass in the ditch...and you didn't personally go and get her?  What kind of kitty cat lets THAT GIRL get away?

I've taken a few women out for their "first times" on either my GS or the Ducati.  Much easier to do on the Ducati, as it's not moving around as much when they shift their weight/lean into the corner or whatever.  Lots more torque, too, so it ends up being easier to get started off idle without scaring them.

Here's some picts from the latest one on the Ducati:

...may I politely dissent from the majority's opinion?

I'll put it simple: Forget about her.

If she'd wanted to call you again, she would've done that. After all, she had your number, huh? ;)
There must have been a reason, any reason of hers, right or wrong, because of which you didn't hear from her again.

Life goes on, sooner or later you'll find another chick to complicate your existence

Just my humble opinion, though.

Ha!  Thanks for the reassurance!  I definitely tried to take her out again - even showed up at work with flowers and candy for her AND all her co-workers (gotta get on their good side too, I thought), and she was all about going out that weekend.... never heard from her again, even after attempting a voicemail and a text msg.  Life goes on.  But women like that make me want to hop on my GS and ride out to the middle of nowhere and forget all existance! HA!  Or just sit in my garage on a friday night and figure out something new to mod on my bike.

+1, meeting new girls isn't as hard as An makes it out to be.  Just ask some girls that you are interested in, and don't wreck with them on the first date.  worse they can do is say no or laugh at you, then you just call them a b*&^h and go the the next in the queue.

Another tip of advice, don't date more than one at a time, thats a good way to get your junk chopped off.....

As far as the advice with the women goes, all I will say is this:

Women like to be pursued, not stalked.

Give the next one some room, make her wonder if you are interested.  You know how it's really intriguing when you aren't sure how much they are into you, and then they give you a clue and it progresses, well, the women are the same way.  Pure fanaticism isn't too attractive, just kinda creepy.

I would have to disagree with the male opinons...when i go out, I like to KNOW that I am liked/wanted etc... so, i'm totally oposite with you guys on that. I think women do want to feel liked and respected, not ignored or puzzled if you like them or not. just my opinion

I hope you don't know that by experience!

Nope, never have cheated, just been told I was or had been cheating when I most assuredly hadn't and my junk wasn't getting within 6 miles of that b(*&h ever again

as for what heatherg11 said, dates are the time to tell the other that you like them and are interested, not before you go on the date, that is just crazy and stalker like.  Be honest, never has let me down.

yeah, that's what he said...."I definitely tried to take her out again - even showed up at work with flowers and candy for her AND all her co-workers (gotta get on their good side too, I thought), and she was all about going out that weekend.... never heard from her again, even after attempting a voicemail and a text msg.  Life goes on.  But women like that make me want to hop on my GS and ride out to the middle of nowhere and forget all existance! so, he took her out on a date, when he tried to take her out again even after flowers... that was very smart, and her loss.  that's what i was saying, girls want to know how you feel, but definately not 5 mins. after meeting you!!!
