Anyone tried anything on thiers to make it waterproof or water resistant?

I have and atomic and love the versitility from 50's to 90's that you can wear it. My only gripe is the rain, you will get wet if its a downpour bu a drizzle isnt too bad.

There seem to be two "families" of jacket from JR: hot-weather jackets, which have 4 front vents and poor water resistance; and hotter, water-resistant jackets with only 2 vents.  

I got the "Reflex" last season; it looks like the 2003 Ballistic, except without the big epaulets on the shoulders.  The only front vents are on the biceps, which is my only real complaint (I think maybe the Ballistic now has vents on the pecs too?).  I've worn it in some heavy rain, and didn't get wet.  And I've worn it in 90-degree 90% humidity, so I guess it can't be too bad (OK, I was drenched with sweat). The 4-vent Atomic looks good for hot weather.

I also looked at a similar Tourmast Cotech jacket, and it had MUCH more substantialarmor.  If it weren't twice the price, I'd have gotten that instead.  But I think for hot-weater jackets, JR has the market cornered.
