I wonder if he would have lived if he'd used his helmet strap.   Looks like his buddies aren't much into gear...

I think he would have been killed instantly either way.  He was pronounced dead at the scene, I was told.  There are a lot of people dying these days.  Around here anyway.  From all accounts, this kid was a real nice guy.  Total bummer.   Rest in peace.
