Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I just really love the commentary...

cliffs:

i gotta free car.  can someone tell me how to unlock the steering column, tranny, and start it?

you stole it.

i got it free.

sounds like you stole it.

you stole it.

why'd you buy a car with no keys?

you stole it and you're rude.

dumbass.

annguyen1981

But you DID steal it!!!  for ZERO dollars!

LOL

i stole it from the mexicans around here (it'd had been like throwing a fat chick in a pool of piranhas)...

annguyen1981

GOOD GRAVY!!!

They're a bunch of assholes...  just like on R6-forum.

When I first got the R6, the ignition key was a little "stuck".  I had to hit the top of the key in order to get it all the way inside the ignition before I could turn the thing.

I searched the forum for some help on how difficult it would be to replace the locks on the ignition, seat, and gas tank.

All I could find (and there were about a dozen other people that asked the same question before...) was "YOU STOLE THE BIKE."  and "WHY THE f%$k WOULD WE TELL YOU HOW TO STEAL OUR BIKES".

I didn't bother ask the question I needed to ask, but I did however call them out on the asshat job they did on helping the others.

who cares if it's weak?  one jackass spelling it out is all it takes...not eight.

and my biggest interest in it is that they're IDIOTS!  Look at the last post and tell me that guy made it through high school with flying colors...

Jake D

There was only one other post beyond Atruev8's second post.  It was something like, "just get key for it anyway, don't hack into it."

Many of the ancients believe that Jake D was made of solid stone.

Seriously, I would have given you a hard time too but maybe I'm just an ass. Assuming you are a random stranger to everyone there, you're asking how to hotwire a car that you have no keys to, has a locked ignition and it also happens to have a 'lost' title. You gotta admit while there are times someone legitimately finds themselves in such a situation, the majority of the time someone has no title and no keys to a car they need to hotwire, uh, it's probably stolen...

But maybe that's just me :)

CasiUSA

Yeah, sorry Mak- but you get in there and one of your first posts is "Can I have a wiring schematic for the ignition, and some key transponder info" it sounds a bit fishy- regardless of the circumstances. I'm sure you can understand where they're coming from. If someone did that here, there may be a few red flags up, no? :dunno_white:

  that was a good laugh. why would they think some1 would be stupid enough to ask for help on stealing a car on a forum  :dunno_white:.

Yeah hehe

So ... (looks left then right)

Anyone know where i can get a slim-jim & a dent puller cheap ? Yeah ... i'm a ... ahhhhhhh ... repo-man ... yep

They're not bad guys, generally.  It's a forum, and GSTwins or the bimmer forums are no better or worse, just different  in size.

But the question is suspicious, by its very nature, and deserves a bit more diplomacy, especially when asking it as your first question on a new forum.  Tact is your best quality, isn't it Mak?

Tact isn't exactly a strong point...I'm not tactless, but I don't tiptoe around the point to try and keep people from getting pissy.

Hey hit up my other thread...I need to know what good comp numbers are on the 30-valve.

don't waist ur money on a slim-jim. all u need it the screwdriver in the tool kit under your seat. just pop the window out with the screwdriver just enough to fit ur arm through (some1 lock themselves out of their car at the lake... only took like 30 sec to open the door haha).

Other thread on audiforums?  I'm too lazy, hehe.  And besides, I have a '96, which is the only year they used the old 12V.  In '97 they switched to the 30V.  Check out audiworld.com and go to resources -> model guide.  They have pdf's of specs on older cars, which might help.  Also check out the bentley manual forum for the B5.

Also think about picking up or making your own vag-com.

no my other audi one here...oh well...I'll have to d/l the manual stuff this weekend.  Not too worried about it...she has badass compression for just about any other car...and I'mjust going to part her anyway.

Need any parts?
