Hello all
I recently purchased a silver/black 07 model.  I have put about 1000 miles on it so far.  I bought it to commute to work which is a 100 mile round trip.  Last tank got 63 MPG  :).  Anyway my question - does anyone know where I can find the torque values for tightening the bolts on the bike.  I want to check the valves and I dont have a repair manual.  I could guess at the values when I put the bike back together, but I would rather not chance stripping a bolt if I can help it.

So far I am really liking the bike, fun to ride.  It a nice change-of-pace from my other bike, which is an 06 Suzuki Intruder S83.

Anyway, thank for help.

Haynes, Clymer, or Factory manuals all have torque specs.

As far as the engine goes, I don't think it actually makes any torque. :icon_mrgreen:

I really was wanting to check the valves this weekend, but no manual of any kind.  I was just wondering if someone had come across the torque spec data somewhere on the internet that I could reference.

Thanks

Maybe if someone had a manual handy they could post the torque values for breather, valve covers, and such.  Pretty please  :)

Thanks

didn't find any torque values of any kind in the owner's manual.

Sorry, all motorcycle stuff is 2000 miles away.

I have a factory manual for the GS5E in front of me.

Cylinder head cover bolts: 13-15Nm...(work to 14 in case your torque wrench is slightly out)
