different size wheels for different years?

i thought the wheels were all the same, no diff in years.  am i right or wrong?

people get conofused betwee the GS500 and EX500.

Gen 1 EX500's had a drum in the back and 16" wheels until 1993.

GS500's have only changed body work, plus a couple slight wiring changes, since 1989.  This is one of the reasons I suggest the GS500 to people looking for "cheap" bikes instead of the earlier EX.

89-current GS and 89-97 Katana wheels are all the same except for color.
Common sense in not very common.
