I finally did it. After having my temps for almost a year I finally set up the appointment and took the test.  I ended up doing alot better than I thought I would, only lost 6 points.  5 from nicking a cone with my back tire on the weave and 1 from the quickstop. I was worried I was gonna screw up the u turn or something by not gassing it enough like I have a tendancy to do in the slow turn - every time I dont ease on a little gas I have to stomp down or drop the bike in a tight u turn.  Happens more on lefts than on rights for some reason.

Anyways, I was just excited. No more paranoia about getting pulled over for riding at night and being on my temps or hopping on the freeway without the license.  Not that I'll be letting my gaurd down.

i need to do that...i guess after riding for 10 years and passing the course a few times for kicks I should actually get the stamp...

I been riding for years, been through check points at night, with nothing more than a permit.GUESS WHAT!I was ran down tonight, wrecked my bike( see !@#$%^&*()_CAGES!).Called the cops, and got a warning for driving after 8pm on a permit.Stupid A-hole that ran me into a chain link fence ran.I found where he lives, cause he's a local dope head.

The MSF is near to impossible to get into around here, theres one place half an hour away that offers it and the rest are an hour plus.  Its impossible for me to schedule anything in advance since I always end up on the road for work with no more notice than a phone call 12 hours in advance. I just went ahead and read Proficient Motorcycling cover to cover figuring they both covered the same information.
