i was watching TV the other night, and I heard a quick snippet about 2 kids with a lawsuit for a false arrest and I found it,

VISTA, Calif. -- A federal court jury awarded two Vista teenagers $400,000 in damages against San Diego County and four Sheriff's deputies, 10News reported.

The award was for false arrest, unlawful detention and using excessive force.

In 2005, 14-year-old Elijah Johnson and his 15-year-old brother Fred were arrested outside of a movie theater for violating curfew.

The brothers' lawyer said the deputies confronted the boys 30 minutes before the curfew began.

Fred Johnson was pinned to the ground and hogtied. He spent 53 days in juvenile hall.

Halfway through the trial, a judge dismissed the charges, saying deputies had no lawful basis for detaining the brothers.

The Johnsons now live in North Carolina.

The boys' mother said the incident was a factor in the move.

There was some wild stuff going on in KC last night.  In two unrelated incidents, pedistrians were shot multiple times.  In both cases, a vehicle would pull up near the victims and several men would pile out, surrounding them.  Then they would open fire.  Freakin' crazy.  Parents should make sure their kids are where they should be.  Unfortunately, parents these days can suck pretty bad.  There isn't a really good reason why kids should be outside jacking around late at night.  There has to be a balance.   Laws are here to protect us.

Spartanburg/Greenville county in SC where I live has or had curfew laws.17 and under can't be out after 9pm with out an adult over 21.We had alot of kids stealing thier parents guns while they were at work.They'd go to the malls and start shotting at each other and thier girlfriends.I used to be a small guy and I was physically jumped on by a teenager.He started yelling something stupid about me and his GF.I just punched him in the face and told him she was jail bait.A few guys rushed over and grabed him.They told him to respect his elders and took him outside.Dunno what the did to him,but I never saw him in West Gate Mall again.I was 24, he was 16 and his little GF was maybe 13 or 14.I dunno why kids are the way they are.Has to be the parents.That's not the last or only time I been jumped by teenagers for something stupid.
