so today i got bored and was looking at slip on and realized that i should try something before i fork out 200 bucks
so i got my sawzaw, and cut the stock "cap" off and took out the baffle and muffler, the i pry'd off the stainless cover and cut half the exaust off..
then tacted the cap back on
the performance is amazing besides the fact that its a hair lean cuz im running 142.5 mains
but tomoror im gonna get welding gas and finish welding then smooth it out and it should loook good
the can looks good being only half its size
i highly reccomend it for you guys with limited funds or if you know wat your doing
its easy u just need a sawzaw with a metal cutting blade a pry bar, hammer, pliers and , a welding machine, well worth it in my opinion it took 30 minutes now im waiting for the flange and then i should be riding

do you have any baffles at all or is it just a empty can? I took the can off and ran the bike with just the baffles and it was friggin loud and I loved it.

Did you dyno it ? You stated something about performance.

Is it a crappy high note or a deep strong note?

To get it burbly, buy a baffle from a car parts place and stuff it in there and weld it up.
Cool.

I have been thinking about doing something like this to my exaust! Could you post pics or a video please? Thanks :D

Seat of pants dyno isn't all that reliable. I myself mistook a 10hp midrange loss for a 10hp high range gain on another bike.

Top speed would be a better indication under identical circumstances.

i think I usually gain about 2-3 horse when I wash and wax my fairings.  I got my windshield to stop rattling and I'm pretty sure that added at least 8 horse :icon_rolleyes:

its the speed of sound
