Naw, I just write down my mileage every day after pulling into my shed, before I even get off the bike.  As far as the trip ... yeah, I wrote all of that down after I got back.

I have an OCD buddy who has a log of when to rotate the furniture away from the windows so that they all fade at the same rate.

He likes his logs.

I don't own a watch. He thinks I'm nuts.

My wife used to keep a log of the mileage and every gas fill up for her old car before we got married.

I quickly broke her of that habit.

Oddly enough, I don't track ANYTHING for my car.  It wasn't until I got a motorcycle that I started keeping logs.

I will admit that there isn't much of a reason for the daily mileage log.  But I make no apology for the similarly detailed maintenance log in the next section of the notebook.  Here's a representative page from my Maintenance Log.

Well that makes two of us  Actually today my wife gave me a pocket watch for my birthday.... I really like not having a watch, I know what time it is naturally.  ie. time to eat, time to sleep, time to work...

My office is a little under 6 miles away - all of it through town.  Maybe THAT'S why a week of "To Work and Back" is so unsatisfying!

I wanted to show my brother around Ellensburg a little bit, because I actually spent a week there several years ago.  Unfortunately, about all we saw this time around was the KOA.

Back in '96(?) my wife signed up for a week-long clay sculpture / woodcarving class that used some of the college's facilities there.  I just went along "for the ride", so I would hang out in the dorm room with my laptop, or walk around the campus or the town.  I thought it was a pretty neat place.

I'll never forget coming up "over the top" from Yakima and seeing the valley spread out before us as we slowly came down the hill.  My visits were in the Spring and in the Fall, so the temperatures were nice.

Have you ever taken the river road up from Yakima?  Or do you arrive from another direction?
