That thing is going to be a sick streetfighter when it is done!!  :thumb:  Keep us posted on your progress.

spc

It is.  I keep finding little surprises.......just found the V&H ignition advancer :icon_mrgreen: :icon_twisted:  The yosh pipe has a race baffle :thumb:  I still have to figure out what's gonna look best for a headlight.....

spc

OK more pic updates as I tear it down :cookoo:

The carbs:

Front brake rotors, they have to go  no way I'm riding solid rotors:

Seat & Tank:

Ignition rotor ( can anyone give me a heads up on the little hole in the bottom left, it dribbles oil :o  )

The only stuck header bolt

Pingel my Petcock :o

One from the front

Have you used PB Blaster on the stuck header bolt?  Spray some on that bad boy about every eight hours for a day or two.  Heat it up once or twice; it should come loose.

Yeah, I'm heading out to buy some dremel bits and I figured I'd pick something up for that damn bolt.  Honestly, I'm surprised that more weren't stuck.  In fact, every other one came out very easily :o :thumb:

Nice carbon fender!!  That reminds me, I gotta find a fender for my GS.

looks good! As for lights, the hella driving lights I got on ebay would look pretty badass on that bike!

Also, looks like your K&N got smushed a little bit, might wanna replace that..

Oh, get rid of those ugly rearsets.. send em to me, and I'll send you my GS rearsets to replace em.. everyone knows GS rearsets are MUCH sexier!

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I've got some K&N pods coming, that I got off ebay :thumb:  I'm leaning towards a round headlight :icon_rolleyes:   This f%$king header bolt is pissing me off very quickly.....especially since the headers have to come off to change the oil filter   I actually hate the rearsets.....you would too, if you saw em in real life.   I'm gonna try for some newer gixxer rearsets :thumb:

OH TERRY.I HAVE SOME THING FOR YOU.

PICS are GONE never TO return.

that thing'd look good with the cheapo Buell duals acually ... but one of the local Streetfighterz showed me his Acerbis (the other one i ws considering before i got the Buelss) and it attached with freaking cable ties  :o The light looked cool (i think it was Acerbis' "Diamond") , but you'd probably want to mount it with something more substantial . He ended up following me back to the house to get some of my 3' cable ties we use for flex duct (they're a whole lot heavier ... same thing the cops used to use before they got their own special ones)
I've got a line on a 02 or 03 Gix 750 i'm working on now ... the dude just bought a house and wants to update the A/C ... if i can trade , the Gix will end up costing me a day in labor and about $1200  :thumb:

Oh , and if you DO go for the Acerbis lights , make sure you have a regular light first for inspection ... the only Acerbis we found that we DOT certified had a weird fairing and a rectangular light  :icon_rolleyes: Maybe if your GS bucket survived you could rig that up first ?

:o :o  Looks like his seats are set-up like I want mine.  I'm pretty sure I'm either going with a round GS/SV or duals :thumb:  I f%$king pandy'd the poor thing.........my jackstands weren't as secure as I believed they were.  I went to wrenching on the rear wheel in anticipation of removing the swingarm and over she went
Absolutely no damage thank god. :thumb:   It did however leak all of it's oil out because I'm a genius and yanked off the oil cooler :icon_confused:  I picked her up and got her steady, laid out some litter to pick up all the oil and called it a day :icon_rolleyes:

NiceGuysFinishLast

The acerbis looks like poo, my $.02

Also.. if you ditch the rearsets, lemme know..
