Yes.

i doubt the trip would effect the actual mileage because it obviously doesn't go up 999 miles every time u reset it  :thumb:

There is no effect against the actual odometer, when adjusting your tripmeter knob/display.

actually, I've noticed it too. Resetting the tripmeter can cause the tenths digit on the odometer to roll slightly forward.. like.. one little click...  it's not a big deal, but I noticed it too.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

does anyone else's speedo cable come unscrewed once in a while? its happened to me twice, i put it on as tight as i can but it still came off... :dunno_white:

Yeah, I had to replace mine- it came of twice, and the second time it dragged on the pavement for miles.

I was going to try loctite on it, but had misgivings, and "Sledge" here suggested I use teflon plumber's tape wrapped around the gauge threads. I did it for both the tach and speedo, and never had a problem since, but I can still easily unscrew them if I need to. I recently did the LED dash mods, and took it all apart, no problem, put fresh tape on, and they're still tight.

Well, since you asked the direct question, I guess I'll have to 'fess up...

For the gauges I bought both red and blue LEDs, not knowing which way I'd go. I went with these, the top ones on the page. Tried out both colors.. both seemed plenty bright for the gauge (and both seemed like they could use some help for the needles). If I had to go with one, it would have been blue, but at least for the moment, I went with blue on the speedo, and red on the tach.

I sort of like the dual-color look, and it's certainly eye-catching.

As thousands of others have noted, it's hard to get a decent pic in a garage with the backwash from the headlight, but this might give an idea:

:o that looks sweet, too bad i never thought of that. what type did u put for the turn signal indicator, does it only work one way?

 No, it works fine for both. For the turn signal and neutral light I used WLED-x6 bulbs, like a lot of other folks, from here:

Actually, I was trying to get the high beam indicator dimmer than that, it's a single-emmitter blue LED from eBay. It is dimmer than the rest, but not that much. I bet I'd be the only one ever to try to return one because it's too bright, though. ;)

Yeah, sorry.. the '02 shares the larger indicator bulbs with the earlier models.
