Hello,
I recently lowered my GS500 which has made a huge difference.  I love it.  But now the kickstand is too long.  Has anyone purchased a shorter kick stand?  Or am I going to have to cut it and reweld it?  I just thought I would check.
Thanks,

Chuck

Pablo has a thing on lengthening the kickstand after a shock swap using standard household tools.  The basic gist is that the inside of the stand is hollow, so you stick a piece of metal bar inside after you cut it.  You could do the same thing to shorten it.

yea just chop it stick a piece of metal bar in there and reweld it.   its easy as long as you have some of the tools or know someone who does.

I bend the stand is very easy and you dont need to take it off ..

put your feet on the part that stand connect to the frame . lift the bike on the air so it rest on the stand and do pressure with foot. pull the bike to you and press the stand with the feet ... also you can ask for help tou some friend and it will be more ease !!  beware dont drop the bike to the floor
