After reading and seeing all of this i have a question, Do you just hack off youre old pipe where the silver meets the black, slip the new can on and weld mounts where ever they need to be?  :dunno_white:

What do you mean by where the silver meets the black.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

Where the can actually meets the pipe.

what i done was new and a little stupid, but it works and sounds great.

1. i cut the cone of the standard exhaust,
2. took the baffel out, (so i could cut it down.)
3. cut the three stud end off of the Ninja exhaust at the weld,
4. i took the baffel out of the ninja exhaust,
5. took the shaZam! bit of shinny bit of tin off the standared exhaustand cut the bracket off,
6. i then replaced the standard baffel in the exhaust (already cut down)
7. i then slid the shell of the ninja exhaust over the top of the standerd, shortend can.
8. then drilled holes and rivetted it on.
no bike compairs, no bike comes close, no bike is better. cant put the gs500 down

In my case it wasn't that easy.
First I cut it off at the collector.
Then I cut of the muffler (where silver meets black :) ) So I had a piece of midpipe in hand
Then I made a flange suitable for four bolts exhaust
Then I changed the angle of the midpipe (rotated and welded it to the collector - rotating gave me appropriate clearance for brake lever)
Then welded flange to the midpipe
In the end I bolted on the new exhaust (If it gets damaged, scratched, dented or anything else I just bolt-on new one - no need to weld anything in the future)
Any bolt-on exhaust for 2005 GSXR600 is going to fit. (If I have money I'll buy Yoshi TRS)
