alright before we start i have searched pretty well and i don't see anything covering this particular situation

i am in the middle of syncing the carbs on an 02 gs500 i am using the 5$ sync tool. the problem that i am having is that when the carbs are in good sync i get an intermittent ping coming from the engine. i can adjust so the left carb has more vacuum and that gets rid of it but then i assume the carbs are out of sync, my question is, has anyone here experienced this and corrected it? i did notice that when i first started syncing them that every once it awhile is seemed the engine would stumble for a split second and when that happened it would damn near clear all my water out. thanks for any help/advice. it's kind of frustrating

The only other thing I can think of, without actually hearing the bike in person, is to set the idle higher and then synch the carbs.
