the bike is over revving when i have stpped, guessing its idle related as often the mechanics i use up the idle so they can let it tick over cold while they work on it, any ideas on how to adjust it back down, thanks

Hi Gilby104,

Did this problem just start and are you sure it's cause of mechanics? When the bike is warm and choke cable is off, it should idle at around 1100-1400RPM. If it's just the idle causing the problem, an explanation on how to adjust it is here:

Choke cable could be stuck? Carbs out of wack? Hmm..

Also the throttle cable could be out of adjustment.

But first, have you tried simply turning the idle adjust screw?

The idle adjust screw is the big brass bolt hanging down between your two carburetors. when the bike is warm turn this until the idle drops down to about 1300 rpm.

Hope this helps!
