Hey folks,

Been a couple years at least since I posted.  New job (now old job), new baby (now a toddler) and you last track of the things that matter  :)

First, I'd like to say it's wonderful to see GStwin still here, and a lot of familiar names.  And Kerry's fork tool pictures still there (gonna need that real soon)

The GS has been mostly fine except for needing new needle valves (?).  You know, the little deals attached to the floats in the carbs that cut off the fuel flow.  Pitted and scored, the shop says it's the ethanol and we should all run fuel stabilizer regularly.  Anyway, pulled and cleaned them 3 times before I figured out what was going on.  Good news is that I can pull those carbs in about 25 minutes now. Yeehaw!

That was a few months ago.  Now, it's time for Sunstar front sprocket (rear looks fine, and I'm short on $$), EK chain, and Avon roadriders.  I have the tires, sprocket, and SLJ screw-type master link from EK, but the chain is shipping from another vendor.  Next week...

I saw that someone mentioned the SLJ link some time ago, don't know if anybody's used one.  I'll post pictures of it if you're interested -- very cool little device.  Poor man's rivet link, and all you need is an 8mm wrench.

Well, that's it for now.  It's good to be back.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
