Throttle stutter

My Gs500 sat for a while :nono: (job change/moving/bad weather/ect...ect..) Finally got back to riding it. It starts fine..Idles fine...and runs fine...the only problem I am noticing is she has some "throttle stutter" ..don't know how else to describe it... when I balance the throttle. If I put it under any load what-so-ever it clears up and runs smooth. If I am running straight and flat and "balance" the throttle to keep constant speed it has a tendency to stutter a little. I have ran a tank of 91 through it and got about 57-60 MPG. Should I run some fuel system cleaner through it or just wait till I run a few more tanks through to see if it clears? I would hate to take them apart but will do that if needed.

Thanks in advance.

'01 ...7500 miles....on its 3rd oil change...all schedualed maintenace (including putting new plugs in). The bike has been rejetted (dont know what too) has an open K@N filter and a Cobra F1 exhaust. Rode it for 4.5K miles, it ran smooth as glass until I parked it for a few months. It seems to be getting better, my brother said it may just have some build up on one of the jets (pilot jet?? as it only happens at less than 1/4 throttle) I was going to run some fuel cleaner through it but was afraid of doing more harm than good.

BTW...come to think of it the carbs have NOT been sync'd since I bought it, just remembered that... perhaps that could be it?
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help or advice  :)

ohgood

If it was parked for 'couple months' I'd bet on water in the gas, and a little varnish.

Drain the tank/carbs and fill with fresh fuel, run seafoam or stabil (or both) in the next couple of tanks and it should disappear.

Don't sync if youdon't need to ;)
