So I lost all my keys at some point so now i have no keys.  I have my key code but all the keys I have gotten have not been suzuki blanks and i think this might have something to do with them not working.

three attemps from three different lock and key shops = no working key.

My final attempt is with a suzuki blank.  If that doesn't work is it cheaper to rekey it and is that possible without the key or have the lock picked apart and have a key made?

not an expert at this, but I asked the neighborhood keysmith preemptively whether they do bike locks, and they said definitely yes.

A friend of mine once lost keys for his '83 GS850, and they didn't have much problem replacing the cylinder... pull off the headlight, and it was open for all the world to see and jimmy with.  Glad more thieves don't know about this one, or carry crescent wrenches.

funny, I'm in a similar situation, lost my keys today, but a few months ago I made a suzuki copy (which I already tested, and it works), so I'm not SOL. Might not be a bad idea once you get the thing working again.

Good luck!

When this happen to me I just bought a used ignition switch with key from ebay and converted my gas lid to a keybless one.  It was around $20. Cheaper then maybe getting a blank and cutting a few keys.

I would check the for sale forum for people parting out and maybe you can get a lid, ignition and key.

Since I did not have a complete set of locks, I re-keyed the locks on both of my street bikes to match the ignitions that had keys. They were the hardest to figure out to take apart but the gas cap and and seat locks were nothing to take apart. There was maybe 1-2 tumblers that needed to be replaced but most were just repositioned. I had several extra lock cores from which I was able to obtain extra tumblers.
Common sense in not very common.
