removing battery acid from pipes

I've noticed battery acid dripping onto my pipes from the overflow tubing.  Is there a way I can clean this up and avoid it from happening?

You can clean it up with water with some baking soda in it, and rinse with water.

If you have slack in the tube, pull it so that it exits below the bike, otherwise you have to make it a touch longer.

Also check the fluid level in the battery, it really shouldn't be overflowing, but if the fluid is too high it can.
