Hi guys. I thought I could do it but I am too busy and too fed up. I have a neglected 93 GS500e (black) with just under 13k miles I have been trying to revive. Anyone can search my thread history and find details on the bike including photos if they like. I am going to be very up front about the issues this bike has.

The final straw was I RED KOTE'd the gas tank, but it has a pinhole leak that the coating didn't stop. I am just sick of dealing with this bike.

This would be a good candidate for revival by anyone who is less hamfisted with a wrench and/or has more spare time. My job is just killing me. Buy my bike, fix it and ride it! Prove you are more of a man than I am!

I have disassembled and cleaned the carbs, and replaced all the o-rings with factory parts. Also replaced ancient fuel lines with automotive fuel line.

This is My List of things I felt still needed to be done:
recharge battery and hope it's not dead
change oil
new chain (sprockets?) due to rust
replace brake fluid, lines
fork seals need replacing, one is leaky
new tires

Cosmetically, it's about what you'd expect from a 14 year old bike that sat for 2 years. It has been dropped (scratches on the engine covers, not on the plastic). Paint and plastics do have some sun fading. There is some rust, especially on the headers. Seat is in great shape.

It rode fine when I first test rode it (a year ago).  I have no reason to suspect anything is wrong with the engine.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions or want photos. My camera battery charger is M.I.A. but I will see if I can find it.

I stupidly paid too much for the bike + the money I've put into the work I have done. I would like to get $600 for the whole bike. I'll throw in a repair manual. If nobody bites I might part it out but I want to avoid that pain in the ass.

Pickup in Williamsburg, Virginia area.

Thanks.
