Progressive: "$791.00"

"Shake Vigerousely" means the prescription bottle only. You've mistaken EVERYTHING with 'bottle only' it appears. Or maybe you're just checking for loose bolts by shaking it that way ?

Seriously though, I bet that hurt.

Can't help with CA insurance. I'm way down in FL.

Not in CA either (and from those rates I'm glad). You might check out State Farm if they operate there but mostly they are about on par with Progressive for bike rates (and don't offer the roadside assistance).

Geico also always comes out disproportionately high in my research. Between their rates and their perennially intelligence-insulting advertising, I don't understand why anyone would opt to use them ever.

goto www.aisinsurance.com and get an online quote. they'll quote you for several places (i.e. progressive, geico, etc.). you'll get an online quote number. call the AIS 800-number hotline, give them your online quote number and they'll give you an additional quote for Lincoln General Insurance (aka Arrowhead). AIS claims that 90% of their motorcycle policies in SoCal are through arrowhead. I pay $185/yr.  :thumb:

socal here...

if you're member of AAA try them. they base their coverage on engine cc. my 2001 when it was new cost me $300+/- a year for FULL coverage.

This tip was money in the bank for me minos. Thank you so much!

Geico            1478
State Farm     1152
Progressive     790
bike-line.com  647

-------------------------------these via AIS brokerage (no broker fee charged for motorcycles)
McGraw         325
Arrowhead     201       all of the above were for 1 year w/ state minimums plus under/uninsured and some medical too.

Arrowhead is what I chose. What a relief. Its even cheaper than what I paid back home.  :flipoff: eat shaZam! and die Geico  :2guns:

I guess AIS gets a 20% fee from the insurance company for signing me up. They seemed pretty professional/helpful.

thats wierd i tried the ais  web site and the cheapest was double what i pay for progressives.

nightrider

they didnt give me the arrowhead quote online. i was getting ready to take progressive's quote then the guy told me about arrowhead.  :dunno_white:

they probably make less money if the premium is lower, so this makes sense in a way, he came out with the cheapest quote at the very end.

I had to go with AAA only because they have my policy on everything but the dogs house, seems the more things they can insure you for the lesser the cost? :dunno_white: If I only had to insure the bike I would have went with AIS they were pretty nice when I called and asked for a qoute, they gave me a good price for the bike but the kicker there was they wanted payment in full for the year. Still I would go to them if I only had the bike to insure.
