painting tail

i want to paint the tail .. its wihte now  and one of the stickers are f'd up
ive nev3er realy painted anything before can some one walk me though it
06 blue gs500f, katana rear shock, sonic 0.85 front springs, LED gauge lights, inagrated tail light, luchbox 22.5,65,142.5 cut down yoshi

I'll assume you want to use good old fashioned spray paint, for the do-it-yourselfy-goodness.  There's plenty of articles around the internet about doing touch-ups on a car, and the steps for plastic/fiberglass are remarkably the same as metal, especially once the primer is down.  (Just don't use rust-removing acid!)

Here's an old thread.  There are others, but RobTheTyrant has a good post about the general procedure.  I posted a pic of my repainted airtech fairing I had on my old GS, just to prove the result doesn't have to look like crap.  (Ignoring what you think about the stylings of the airtech fariring.)
