Don't forget that the bikes over there are left hand drive guys.......... :)
The roads are more winding and have shorter straights than "off-raod bumpy", so any road bike will do for that purpose, the main question is fit and comfort.
If your husband is used to a 125, then almost any other bike is high powered and will be quite a handful, besides the extra cost of petrol. Smaller bikes tend to have straighter seats, meaning he can scoot back and forth to stretch his back and legs. We are all GS nuts, so your responses here will be GScentric. Bikes are almost as personal as bathing suits for gals...could he fit you off the rack shopping alone?
O.K. now that I've given you the down side, the rest is good. If you get a likely prsopect through the shop over there, why not get their guarantee that they will give 100% trade-in value against another bike for the first 30 days? Since you cannot bargain the way you might if you were there, perhaps they'll do that kind of deal.
Good Luck and have a great holiday.   (Irish smiley)
We don't really know what we're doing and even when we do, it doesn't seem to help. Bono

QuoteI wouldnt look at a cruiser for bumpy roads for that reason otherwise he will be tossed up with every bump and cant use your legs to cushion you like on a upirght bike.

Yeah right.

Another good DP bike is the Honda African Twin or the Kawasaki Tengai 750, but these bikes runs pretty hot tho.
It is not good enough to say that we are trying our best. We must succeed in doing what is necessary.
