im looking at this bike, well lits a 2007 brand new practically for 3900.00 bucks for it. Plus obviously the dmv tags and the gear
I need.

Im wondering if this is a good deal, im ORAGE county CALIFORNIA so yeah, cost of living are higher. But is this a good deal??
Let me know, thanks....i have no clue here and DO need some posts/opinions.

Is the mileage in the pics current? No damage to the side you cant see in the pics?  If so looks to be a good deal.

YES according to the seller, she purchased it two months ago. Im thinking she got skeeered and decided against it.

that's a bangin' deal. OC here, too. i paid $3750 for an '05 with 1600 miles 3 months ago. get it! you know you want it. cali's got the best weather for it.

Bought my 04 GS500F mint condition with 4000 miles for $2400. THAT was a steal!

That's in line according to THIS PAGE. If it is a California market, not a bad deal...especialy since there will be no 2008 GS model - or any other US GS ever again (if you can believe what we've been hearing).

Sounds like a good price to me, however a few things bring up red flags.

1)  The price

2)  The odometer says 00045 and the tripmeter reads 040.  Not even a quarter tank of gas, and the tripmeter has been reset once.  The owner had better have a good story!  Make sure it isn't stolen, and that the frame and engine serial numbers match. 

If everything is OK, snatch it up!

Sounds like a good deal to me. I paid 3500 for an 05 black with 400 miles on it.

Looks great to me. Even the "may cause early death" warning sticker on the tank is still there. Looks like the nubs on the tires are mostly still there, which seems to agree with the ~40 miles on the odo.

I'm guessing the PO's wifey/gf didn't approve of it or something. Happens more often than you can say the word "like."

The odometer isn't really all telling. Check the tires, chain, oil, and pegs. The silencer will also tell if it's been down, and generally how hard.

Clear title in hand, it's an ok deal. I'd hope the warrantee is transferable, since the later models had a problem with gaskets. Do a search to see what I mean.

Now then, if you're set on buying it:

1) pull the plastics off now. you're just going to drop it anyway.
2) make it an "E" and ebay those plastics that are in the garage.
3) buy GOOD gear to keep your skin intact.
4) you haven't even ridden it yet. do the msf, learn in parking lots, etc.

good advice thanks...i seen it in person already, it looks really really clean....only 2 months old on this thing....

Taken the MSF so yeah, thats a check!
