alright well i'm having some trouble finding out where all the little hoses that run from the carb nipples go, i only have 3 "T's" that the little hoses run through  but it shows for on the diagram for the carburetor model diagram thing.

2005 GS? You talking about the small grey ones on the top right?? The page above doesn't have those.

No, he's talking about the '04+ vacuum lines.  I've got a '06 carb in my garage, and I have no idea where those vacuum lines would go.  (Except if I installed the carbs on my '01, I'd cap them off.)

Yeah the newer carbs have a throttle position sensor and a vacuum sensor that go to the CDI and do what?  I don't know.  The most I could imagine is that they screw with ignition timing to improve emissions or something like that.

Maybe someone here has looked inside a working F and knows where those vacuum hoses go.  Not me.

ya thats the fuel hose routing  i know where the fuel lines go. but i'm looking for the little hoses. this is the diagram.  <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k19/suzukigsf05/carburetor_model_k4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>    but its kinda hard to tell where they go  since i only have 3 of those t's

I'll check my bike tonight after work if I have time... Yeah, i was going to post the schematics from BikeBandit on the FK4+ model carbs... Looks like you have that already.

Post here if you solve your prob.

anyone else know where those lines are supposed to go?

First pic is pretty self explanatory. Taken from the right hand side of the bike, it captures most of the hose configuration...

The third "T" isn't shown in either of these images, it's a bit further up the left hand side of the 3-way valve assembly thingy (#47 in your blow up chart)

Hope this helps.

Nice job groff22!   :thumb:

I vote you start a FAQ on late model carb hose routing. I could contribute a scan of the service manual page toward it.

As a matter of fact, I think I have already because all that plumbing is part of the PAIR system. The subject comes up usually when someone takes their carbs off for cleaning/service.

Starwalt, Good idea and thanks. I'll put something together next week. I'm in the woods this entire weekend clearing a camp trail so NO GSTWIN and NO Computer :( Just Beer, ATV, Sandwiches, and... other goodies.

Cheers,
