I know the rated oil capacity is 2.8q... but every time I do the change I end up with about 3.5q in it until I'm on the stick.  WTF is the reason with that?  Anyone else see this or am I goofing something up?

Make sure the bike is on the center stand and it's level. The filter may soak up 1/4 quart. If it's an F model or has an oil cooler that may explain the extra oil. That's all I can think of rite now.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

oil Specs for an F model is:

w/out Filter- 2.7 us qt
W/ filter change- 3.1 US qt
Overhaul- 3.4 us qt

Sounds close enough to me  :thumb:

huh... the Suzi dealer here in town told me that an F is 2.8-2.9q... and at 3q it doesn't even touch the stick.  I usually end up @ 3.5... as I did yesterday.

side note... the 15t sprocket I did at the same time is much more gooder!
