After a minor starting issue involving some loose connections I took some pictures and a video showing off my new 1994 Gs 500. Check it out. I'm going to be doing some mods in the next few weeks. Including, a new rear tail, painting the wheels, some new turn signals, possibly some new buell headlights, renthal motocross handlebars and a few other cosmetic changes. I'll keep it updated, which leads me to a question. Anywhere specific on the site to put pics and updates with changes to the bike?

Very nice. How is the engine ?

Someone took very good care of the paint. I didn't know the tank would shine like that !

Nice find, enjoy it.

OK, saw the video. The engine is nice !

You have the same color as my '98. Picked mine up a little over 1 1/2 years ago with very near the same miles. Looking back through iPhoto, it was exactly: 3,363 and 5/10ths miles. Since then it's now at 18,500 or so. Lovin every minute of it here.

Your bike is especially clean and in excellent condition. Like you didn't know it already. Keep a coat of wax on it, and it will stay that way !

Welcome to the land of gs goodness.

:)

Thanks for the nice words. The engine is cherry. It was well taken care of.
If you have any suggestions or kinks I should be aware of with the GS let me know. I know the fuel petcock can make the bike a little finiky sometimes.

What a nice GS!

I wish mine was that cherry. I am in the process of re painting and such. I want it to be all shiny like that too.
Twisty stuff is for me

That's one clean GS!! Congrats!!!!  :thumb: :thumb:

Why do you want to paint the wheels though? Theay are clean and nice. If you look for adding some character try tapeworks.com rim stripes. The color choice is yours. Your theme is black-n-silver, so silver stripes may work... Just a suggestion.

I have yellow on dark-grey rims. I could not beleive the difference it brought.

Well, I want to paint the wheels because the paint is getting old on them. It's really the only cosmetic thing thats wrong with the bike. You really can't see it in the pics, but what can you expect with a bike thats 13 years old?

Besides, I have a buddy that works at an auto painting place.

Also, white paint won't go with the gold/black paint job I have planned. ;)
