... very likely will be happening this fall if we get a dry weekend in October (rain + falling leaves = bad news in the twisties).

We try every year and so far succeed exactly every other year.  That would make this the year that we actually go 

I've heard reports that part of the road was gravelled earlier this month for some repairs, but that paving should be underway now and done by 1st week of October.

Anyone interested should pipe up.  So far the tentative list includes a Vulcan 1300, Rocket III (yes, for real) and my SV650S.  My school's fall break is the weekend of Oct 12-14.  We might try it then.
