Overpriced? No, only unless you do not value comfort and safety.

I have been wearing Shoei for over 20 years and will continue to. I would be dead if it was not for the helmet I was wearing. Would another brand have prevented my death, possibly... but I am not willing to find out. Are you will to bet your life on a cheap helmet?

Have a sized shell is more than just looks. The smaller shells are less prone to wind and are less fatiguing.
Common sense in not very common.

Exactly... what kind of price are you willing to put on your head?  When I see people riding around with 600 dollar leather icon jackets and a 90 dollar helmet... If you can spend that kind of money on your core, why not your head?  :cookoo:

I too second the SHOEI! I also have an HJC it is an XS it is an open face that I wear on the very rare occasion I play the "Buddha Loves You" on my best friend's '06 honda shadow. After about a half an hour of riding my neck is out right killing and I get that wonderful bobble head going on! But my Shoei Rf-1000 is a small fits like they made it for me and have very little neck and upper back fatigue. The longest I've worn it is from Orlando to St. Augustine. I am also of the same school of is your head worth $90 or $300. As an EMT for six years I had more people wearing shoei's talk to me than in other helmets after an accident.  I also second that a good armour jacket balances it out I'm a girl and the proportions can be even worse than you guys!
