Sorta old news..
if it has a new frame as well it could be a decent bike. they feel like bicycles to ride, other than the steering dynamics of a "sportbike"

i'm liking the look of the new 250. i will be attempting to purchase one in the spring. if you feel like i'd be better off with a scooter or a bicycle, well, that's your opinion. starting on a smaller displacement bike will help me develope as a rider. so for those of you who don't agree with my choice: :flipoff:  it's your opinion though so say what you want.  :thumb:

I'm going to get a 250.   Not a Kaw though.  I'm thinking more along the lines of RGV/NSR :icon_mrgreen: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:

i think they had those bikes on tourist trophy. they looked cool.  :)

It's not the look that gets me.  Bigger brakes, bigger wheels, better suspension, more power (rumor...not much I wouldn't think), sportbike geometry, etc...

jserio

so these bikes you speak of terry were "the bikes" to have back in their era?

The NSR/RGV are still the bikes 'to have'  hell most of em were still produced up til about 99.  Their just incredibly difficult to come by in America.  The technology, though incredibly simple, has enormous potential.   There are bore kits for both ranging from 300cc to 330cc and with a full workup including exhaust they have the potential for around 90hp while weighing significantly less than most modern sport bikes.  They are incredibly capable track vehicles and with the appropriate rider can contend with the 600's and 750's on track.

Just get an RGV 500 wimp  :icon_mrgreen:

That would be a truly insane bike. Those race bikes were putting out TONS of horsepower. Look on wikipedia

Those 250 ninjas were cool in their day, and still are.

There is a write up in Motorcycle news that Kawi is considering doing a 250 Versys style bike based on the ninja.

If they do, I'm definitely in.

Can't wait to get to work on Project GST500. :thumb: It'll be a Full Blown 526cc's with Yamahaha Banshee Reeds.Biggest Pain will be getting it back to PA to have Chambers made for it. I'm shooting for Over 100HP for a Motor designed for 46HP.It will be loosing some Major Weight with the GS Frame I think I had it figured at around 50lbs less than a Stock T500. :thumb: I'll probably be able to loose a lot less than that though. If They ever post how the Mazda RX7 Ignition is Fitted I'll be using one of those instead of the Points Ignition. :thumb:

If the Kawasaki Guys give me the OK I'll post some Damn Neat Ninja 250 Pictures. :thumb: One with a H1 500 and one with an RD350 Engine. :)
